The Cassini probe mission lasts another 2 years

Its mission to explore Saturn and its moons by Cassini probe will be extended for another two years, until 2010, ' said French scientist Jean Pierre Lebreton of the European Space Agency (ESA ) just said in Paris. US Space Agency NASA will officially announce this in the next few days.

The extra 2 years will allow the probe to make 45 more rounds of Saturn orbit, 26 times above Titan satellites and 6 times on Enceladus, a small moon that has been surprising to everyone due to emitting a lot of heat.

Launched in 1997 and reached its destination after a seven-year journey, the Cassini-Huygens probe is a result of cooperation between the US and Europe. The ship consists of two modules: Cassini designed by the US to explore its giant gas and satellites from space, and Huygens of Europe landed on Titan, providing unique images. on the surface of this satellite.
