The 'dying' of the largest star in the universe
The largest known star in the universe is currently in a throes of death as it constantly throws out its interstellar space of energy and material resources, UPI said on October 16.
In the discovery recently published by the Royal Astronomical Society, astronomers say that matter fired into space between stars is necessary for the formation of planetary systems.

Scientists from the UK, Chile, Germany and the United States, while collaborating on finding material ejected from stars in the late stages of their evolution in the Milky Way, have made remarkable discoveries. When observing the superstar cluster named Westerlund 1 , the largest star cluster in our galaxy.
Researchers discovered around a star, named W26 , that had a giant cloud of hydrogen gas. Such clouds are very rare around large stars and are even rarer in the W26 super giant red star.
According to scientists, W26 is considered the biggest star that people ever discovered. It has a radius of 1,500 times greater than our sun. W26 is also one of the brightest red giant stars known to date.
These massive stars that shine strong and wide are believed to be in the final stages of their evolution. According to astronomers, the star W26 is approaching its final agony of a supernova explosion to turn it into a white dwarf or possibly a black hole.
