The first color image of a comet was taken by Rosetta
Last month, the landing craft of Philae marked an important milestone in the history of aerospace industry, when it first landed on the surface of a comet.
So far, Halley comet: 67P / Churyumov-Gerasimenko has become the most discussed focus among astronomers. The data collected from comets can help scientists learn more about the formation of the universe as well as the origins of all things on Earth.

Not long ago, images of Halley's comet: 67P and surface image were sent to the European space agency. However, the previous images were only black and white, leaving us with a question of what colors are comets in the universe?
Recently, the latest images of comets Halley: 67P captured by the OSIRIS system on Rosetta have shown us the most realistic color of this comet. The OSIRIS system includes a camera with a wide spectral range that allows it to record the actual colors of objects in the universe. The OSIRIS system has also sent real color photos of Mars in 2007.
According to the image sent, we can see Comet Halley: 67P is red . Scientists say these are the color images of the first comet we recorded. So we do not know if it is the color of all the comets in the universe. While the previous description of the European Space Agency showed that comets are gray-black like coal.
But the data collected from comet Halley: 67P has shown that our understanding of the universe is still very limited, but with this great step scientists hope in the near future we have can discover all the mysteries around our solar system.
