The surprising discovery about Rosetta's comet

The Rosetta spacecraft published some unexpected features about comet 67P / Churyumov-Gerasimenko as it turned around in its cold journey.

In the first report of 67P / Churyumov-Gerasimenko , the Rosetta Alice device discovered on the ship instead of a bright, ice-filled comet, its goal was actually blacker than coal.

And when analyzing data transmitted, scientists still cannot find a large piece of ice on the surface of the comet.

'We are somewhat surprised that the surface does not reflect the light of comets, as well as there is too little evidence that it has water in the form of ice,' according to Space.com quoted Alan Stern of the Southwest Research Institute in Colorado (USA).

Previously, experts believed that the comet surface had to be covered with ice because 67P was too far away from the sun to melt.

In addition, they discovered the so-called 'atmosphere' of hydrogen and oxygen comets, instead of just made up of steam and dust as assumed.

Alice currently studies the origin, texture and other characteristics of 67P to collect data beyond the observations of astronomical and terrestrial flocks.
