The human galaxy will collide with the galaxy M31
NASA said, the human galaxy will collide with the nearest galaxy, Andromeda (M31), for about four billion years.
Andromeda Galaxy (M31)
Experts about the universe said, if a collision between the two galaxies mentioned above, everything could be turned upside down.
NASA's announcement said: "We are tracking the motion of the Andromeda galaxy and will take about four billion years before the collision between two galaxies occurs."
NASA added that, after a collision, it would take another two billion years for the two galaxies to "fully combine".
Andromeda galaxy is about 2 million light-years away from Earth. In the sky, M31 manifests as an object with apparent magnitude of 3.4.
Observations so far show that Andromeda has at least 10 satellite galaxies.
