The International Space Station has launched a spacecraft full of garbage into space

Russian astronauts at the International Space Station have launched the Progress 72 to fill up with garbage. This amount of waste will be destroyed in the atmosphere.

Astronauts on the International Space Station (ISS) have just had a busy week. The orbital laboratory must dismantle the new cargo block sent by Spacex's Crew Dragon spacecraft. Russian researchers also launched a transport ship, but it will not return to Earth.

In the morning of July 30, the assembly compartment on the Russian ISS area launched the Progress 72 with full of garbage inside , after months of hanging out of space.

Like any household or office, the International Space Station accumulates various types of garbage. To handle this waste, scientists use old cargo ships and 'discharge' them into the universe.

The International Space Station is equivalent to a house with 5 bedrooms and many warehouses. Without sewage systems, washing machines or dryers, astronauts must store food, clothing and day-to-day utensils. Since then, a large amount of mixed garbage including wrapping paper, food containers, dirty cloth and broken equipment will appear.

On Earth, garbage is treated by burying, recycling or burning. Similarly, scientists at ISS can use the 'super-huge' incinerator that is the Earth's atmosphere.

Russian Pirs opened at 6:44 am (US time) July 30 to complete the launch of the Progress 72 train. It will return to the atmosphere and be completely burned before actually falling to Thai Binh. Ocean.
