The invisible tanks can deceive the enemy
A Polish company has revealed "stealth tanks" that can deceive the enemy by altering its shape on the opponent's infrared image by means of intelligent shells.
Polish company Obrum and British BAE Group have jointly developed a PL0-01 stealth tank weighing 35 tons and can carry 3 people. Covered by a specially developed shell network, the invisible tank can turn itself into something like a car or any other object through the enemy infrared camera by changing the shell temperature. .
The PL0-01 stealth tank is being developed by the Polish company Obrum
The stealth capability of the PL0-01 tank is a series of hexagonal metal plates assembled together into the tank's shell. They can control the temperature of the tank. If they are tempered by ambient temperatures, the tanks will disappear from the thermal imaging equipment commonly used to detect enemy vehicles on the battlefield.
By adjusting the sensor, the tank can even be disguised as a car. It can also be adjusted to blend into the surrounding environment.
These capabilities are due to the small infrared sensors placed around the tank and then displayed on the hexagonal pattern that best matches the infrared data obtained, making it "stealth" completely.
The PL0-01 tank also reduced its infrared signal through a cooling system and dispersed emissions from the 940-horsepower diesel engine. It is expected that the tank will be launched at the earliest in 2018.
