The living animal world on paper
Insects such as mantis, beetles or fish that are as vivid as the real colors have been created by the artist skillfully.
Sipho Mabona, a Swedish artist, created the insect world with Japanese paper folding.
Insects are folded in every line, making the viewer mistaken for a real look.
A beetle.
Each work like this, Mabona only needs 1 sheet of paper.
Paper folding image resembles a carp.
The fish are vivid colors.
Also thanks to the beautiful artwork, Mabona became the first foreign artist to be invited to the Japan Paper folding Association (JOAS) last year.
His works are also published in JOAS magazine.
Mabona opened a gallery of her works in Japan, Switzerland, Canada, Spain and France.
