The madness of eating white tiger

When mealtimes arrive, the wild instincts of animals rise again. With fierce bared teeth, white tigers plunged into the water and were ready to grab whatever was thrown.

Photographer Birte Person captured impressive images when the crazy tiger tigers hunted at the Singapore Zoo.

The white tiger is almost extinct and the surviving animals are all in farms. In the last century, only 12 were found in nature. They are not necessarily albino but are a mixture of genes, making them white, black stripes, blue eyes and pink nose.

Birte, 62, from New South Wales, Australia, was at the zoo at the time of the tiger's meal. " They sat on the ledge eagerly watching the first piece of meat thrown. Then they all went into the water, frantically swimming to grab the bite ," Birte said.

" Singapore has the largest number of white tigers in the world and has a very effective breeding and conservation program ," Birte added.

The Bengal tiger is mature at 2-3 years old and can live up to 15 years in nature. Males weigh 200-230 kg and are 3 m long. Females weigh 130-170 kg and are 2.5 m long.
