Mr. Waddington, 43, came to Japan more than 60 times to find Koi fish for customers in the UK. He shared with Mail Online: 'It is a record price for a Koi carp. 101cm long, it's very large and belongs to Kohaku '.

The photos of the auction as well as the winners were shared on the world-famous Saki farm's Facebook page.

Not much information about Ms. Yingying but the woman was officially cared for the fish capable of reproducing more than 500,000 eggs, of which about 5,000 eggs were of sufficient quality to sell.

Koi carp, native to Japan, has dozens of different types, distinguished by color, texture and flakes. The life of Koi fish ranges from 25 to 35 years.

Like Kohaku, Koi is a white skin with a red color. In order to be considered a perfect Kohaku, the skin must be pure white, not yellow.

Japan is the country with the most fish stocking with 90% of fish for export. The price of a standard Koi fish is from £ 12.5 (about VND 380,000) to £ 20,000 (about VND 6,000,000). In 2016, Japan exported 295 tons of Koi carp and collected more than 28 million pounds.
