Finally, scientists have found a reason: a meteorite has entered the Earth's atmosphere at a height of 10,000 meters, moving at a speed of 2,400 km / h.

"This meteorite falls on Earth in an inhabited area, which surprised everyone. If it flew over desert or some offshore sea, we would never know." , according to astronomer Roberto Figueroa, who manages the Neuquen Observatory near the atmospheric explosion.

He estimated that the meteorite was about 12 meters wide, before breaking into three large pieces as it entered the atmosphere.

And because they plunged into Earth at dizzying speeds, they created a shock wave that spreads and that was the cause of the explosions heard by nearby residents.
