The mysterious magic of the people on the top of Truong Son

For more than 50 years, it has been found and joined the community of Vietnamese peoples, but the Ruc ethnic group in Thuong Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district (Quang Binh) still have their own unique and mysterious features to be discovered and conserve.

Nostalgic stone cave

At the end of 1959, Ca Xeng Border Guard was stationed in Thuong Hoa, Minh Hoa district. During a patrol, a shy group of 'forest people' were found , people were not covered in body, climbed cliffs, passed branches. as fast as a wild animal.

After many months of approaching, the Border guards have mobilized them to leave the cave to settle in Ruc Lan valley, in Thuong Hoa commune. And from here, the Ruc ethnic group is known as the youngest of the Vietnamese ethnic community. By the beginning of 2013, after more than 50 years of community integration, the Ruc ethnic group was internationally included in the list of 10 tribes with the most mysterious things in the world.

A corner of Ruc now

According to Mr. Dinh Thanh Du, a researcher of the culture of ethnic groups in Quang Binh, almost one person left his job to study many ethnic groups in the area, but with the Ruc people there are still many mysteries for himself and Scientists have studied them. Now, old age, weakness does not allow him to have field trips, but he still aches about what is still unfinished with Ruc people.

Mr. Nghi affirmed that the Ruc people themselves do not have a family name, no clan name, and a slow-growing ethnic group, so they are still characterized by ancient Vietnamese people. Because they live in caves, but in the 'rushing' language meaning that the cave has water flowing through them, the other races assign them Ruc people. Through the study of anthropology, the language of the Ruc people, scientists have assembled the Ruc ethnic group into the Chut ethnic group in Quang Binh together with Sach, Mai, Ma Lieng, A Rem .

Before leaving the cave, the Ruc people had 109 people, living separately, not in contact with the outside world, meeting strangers to escape. Ruc's life is totally based on nature. They only used to climb trees, quickly on the high mountains to hunt for birds, gatherers, peaches, and tubers. Not wearing clothes, the men and women were behind the bun, covering themselves with the tree bark, when the night fell, they went together to find a cave to live and often sleep.

Cao Chon and his wife still love to live in the wild

After more than 50 years left the cave, but the couple Cao Chon and Cao Thi Bim (over 80 years) still retain their original life. Although it has been built by the State and provided with arable land, grandparents are not at home but often pass a cave to live. The old couple are still old, the day of hunting and gathering, at night, they go to the cave to sleep and sit for their children and grandchildren.

Mr. O O O Oh Oh, Mr. Cao Van Dan (39 years old) said, not only Mr. and Mrs. Cao Chon but also nearly 500 Ruc people sometimes miss the cave. Although there are houses, but every season, many families still bring each other to the cave to live there when the new couple of months return .

Mysterious magic

According to Mr. Dinh Thanh Du, currently in the Ruc community still exists two very mysterious forms of magic that other ethnic groups do not have, such as: Blowing, blowing and vaporization. During field trips, Du witnessed the magic of these two spells, but it was impossible to try to study it. Because the Ruc people consider it sacred, cannot be disclosed to outsiders.

Mr. Nghi said: The art of blowing and blowing open the Ruc people is to use a charm spell to blow on a woman to have a spouse without children (called blinding); and when you need a child, you also use a charm to blow on the woman (called open blowing). In addition, the Ruc people also have steam absorbing techniques to avoid evil beasts. Whenever entering the forest, the Ruc people only need to read the mantra, even if there are tigers, leopards and forest elephants do not dare to come close to attack. In fact, despite living in the same place with the cup, no one has recorded the Ruc being attacked by beasts.

Mr. Nghi said, in the same time with Dr., linguist, and researcher Vo Xuan Trang folklore, fieldwork to learn the spells of Ruc people, Mr. Trang almost lost his life because he wanted to try the power of Steam absorber. Thay Cao Cao Ong repeated the technique of blowing and blowing

Mo O Oh village leader Oh, Cao Van Dan said that these spells are no longer popular in the Ruc community, but Thay Rang (teacher Mo form) is still preserved. Mr. Dan and two border guards led us to a Thay Rang's house called Cao Ong. He was 80 years old, sick, unable to walk but still quite lucid. After a long time of persuasion, he also agreed to reenact the movements in the blow-blowing technique. The tools were on the corner of the house, but no one dared to come, for fear.

It was not until after Mr. Cao Ngoc En was the brother of Mr. Cao Cao Cao who brought the tools out and arranged himself like a ceremony to blow and open. Tools include: two bamboo pipes, one long (1m), one short (0.5m), one stone is slightly more than two joined hands, a bowl of water, a container of flowers. He said there was a shortage of beeswax for candles, incense and hair, or a thread to put in a bowl of water.

Master Cao Cao Pipe squatted on the bed, holding two bamboos in his hands and the sharp tip of a stone slit making a low sound. At the same time, he recited rhyming mantra like singing with melody from two bamboo pipes. As he read, he blew his breath into the water bowl. As usual, about 30 minutes will take a bowl of hair, or a thread, for a woman who wants to tighten without giving birth and will be effective.

He can also blow off the hand, foot, bleeding, poisonous snake bite . and each type of disease has different mantras. In addition to the art of steam absorption to avoid his own beasts, he could use magic to draw a circle for many people to sit in to fight evil beasts. However, when asked about the content of the mantras, and by translating into Mandarin, he shook his head: 'It is the sacred and dark thing of Ruc people, it is impossible for outsiders to know'.
