The terrible consequences of magic tricks are prevalent throughout netizens

This magic trick looks good, but the consequences are incalculable.

Do you like magic? Recently, a member of the new Reddit forum posted a magic trick that looked right to be a "virtual pan". You can see it right in the picture below.

The guy in the picture held an empty container, made a "dump" gesture , and a hundred candles immediately turned off.

This magic trick was posted by Youtuber Nick Uhas in 2017, and received great attention. But recently, the Reddit forum has made it popular again.

Of course, everything has a cause. According to the explanation, the guy carrying the barrel was not empty, but contained a gas of extremely high density. It's called sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) .

Do you know helium? It is a very light gas that is often used in balloons, but at the same time there is another effect that causes your voice to rise to a very high tone, "the waist" resembles chipmunk mice. SF6 is similar, but has the opposite effect - slowing down the sound waves in the larynx, and deepening your voice.

Another magic trick: this gas can "scoop" and pour like water

SF6 is about 5 times heavier than air, you can easily fill it in that plastic container. And when "pouring" this gas out, it will not fly up but overflow like it poured water. And since there is no ability to maintain the fire, hundreds of candles are turned off.

Is it good or not, but no one expected that this magic trick could have a very serious effect.

SF6 is a gas with many consequences

And that is a very terrible consequence for the environment . In fact, SF6 is an extremely serious greenhouse effect , causing 22,800 times more harm than CO2. To make it easier to imagine, 1kg of SF6 gas will have an effect equivalent to 22.8 tons of CO2.

And not yet. When entering the atmosphere, SF6 will not disappear until at least 3,200 years later. Unfortunately, when you have dumped it, you cannot record it.

SF6 is still commonly used in the electrical industry, to prevent a fire hazard from occurring because we have not found an alternative. But despite being treated and controlled, there is still a large amount of this toxic gas coming out of the environment.

SF6 is an extremely serious greenhouse effect.

"In 2002, about 600 tons of SF6 came out of the atmosphere. It is equivalent to the gas generated by more than 3 million individual cars in a year, or nearly 73,000 coal trains" - quoted in the SF6 report. Gasworld.

The exact capacity of the plastic container in the picture is not published, but it is estimated to be around 30l. If the whole tank is full of sulfur hexafluoride, it will convert to about 195g SF6, equivalent to 4.4 tons of CO2.

Do you know how big that number is? According to official statistics of the EPA (US Environmental Protection Agency), the amount of CO2 emitted by an automobile in a year falls to about 4.6 tons.

Meaning, just a fun magic trick after 1 minute, you have caused the environment to suffer the same damage as getting another car. Do you still want to do it now?
