The mysterious woman

Scientists were extremely confused by a photo sent back to Earth by NASA's Mars Mars explorer, showing the figure of a mysterious woman on the Red Planet.

Looking at the picture, not many people guessed it, guessing that this could be the silhouette of a woman with long stretched arms sitting in the middle of the blocks of rock on Mars. It is also possible that it is just a noisy internet game to confirm that life really exists on the Red Planet - something scientists have long suspected. Some argue that this image is simply an illusion.

This is one of many photos that Spirit, NASA's adventurous robot was brought to Mars 4 years ago, sent to Earth. It was taken in late 2007 from the highest point of a low plateau on Mars. The photo, found on a Chinese website, is causing a heated debate on the internet. There are many different opinions about the photo above.

A blogger wrote: ' These photos are amazing. I don't believe my eyes when I see the naked aliens walking around Mars. '

Another person replied in a sarcastic voice: 'If you can show me another block of rock in a different picture from Mars or Earth that looks so natural, I will think again'.

The third person said in a natural voice: 'Human eyes can be fooled so easily'.

Spirit and Opportunity, the second robot to successfully land on Mars, has started moving around the Red planet since completing its first mission in April 2004. The basic goal of two robots is to find evidence that water exists in geology, a sign that can show the existence of life on Mars.

Launched from Cape Cape in Florida in June and July 2003, Spirit and Opportunity moved about 450 million kilometers on Mars to explore the dusty and rugged surface of the Red planet. With river and sea traces on the arid surface of Mars, many scientists believe that life once existed on the Red planet.
