The poisonous snake serpent as an ancient war weapon still crawls off the street

Archaeological experts said that in ancient times the Greek navy used to throw the poisonous snake serpent Javelin San Boa (Tiger carrying desert) to enemy ships.

Tigers with deserts have not been officially recognized in Italy in the past 80 years, but people said they found signs that the snake might still exist on Sicily.

Experts specializing in snake species have discovered many families of sand cobras, typically Eryx jaculus, who live in areas full of sand dunes and trees around Licata resort, on the coast. South of Sicily.

They believed that the snake was used by the Greek empire as a weapon when attacking and taking over the island in ancient times.

The area where desert cobra was discovered is located near two ancient fortresses, a fortress built in the 5th century BC and the other fort built in the 4th century AD.

This snake was used by ancient Greece for religious rituals, even war weapons, according to experts.

Exploration of desert cobra fossils in Italy published on December 31, 2015 in the journal Science Acta Herpetogica:

"The Greeks used to use snakes as a poisonous javelin, launching them into enemy ships to cause panic, before attacking enemies," the team told ANSA news agency.

Scientists have discovered 6 solid individuals during the study, namely: 3 live and 3 died because of right-hand traffic.

They believed that the snake lived in Sicily for hundreds of years, but it was hard to detect because of its instincts of hunting at night, preferring to live underground and their nature to avoid humans.

Desert cobras are also found in Greece, southern Balkan region, North Africa and the Middle East.
