Gregg Losinski, a spokesman for Idaho's animal management agency, said dozens of volunteers worked both day and night over the weekend to collect the swarms of corals scattered throughout the eastern part of the state.
He said: " About the beat, the geese just fell from the sky ." Biologists are waiting for the state wildlife agency's test results to clearly identify the cause of the deaths of thousands of geese, possibly due to Pastuerella Multocida, which can live monthly in water and soil.
American scientists believe that the gathering of geese is the main reason that epidemics can spread quickly.
Besides thousands of geese, volunteers also found more than 10 eagles, showing goose-like disease.
