The scientist struggled to cook at the extreme -70 degrees Celsius
Cooking outdoors becomes a tough challenge in the -70 degree Celsius weather in Antarctica, where everything can freeze in the blink of an eye.
Dr. Cyprien Verseux, the cosmonaut who works at Concordia Station, the world's most remote research facility, shares a series of photos of the extreme cooking, Sun said on 9 October.
"Lunch on the roof is not a good idea," said Dr. Verseux.
When the Southern hemisphere entered the spring, Dr. Verseux decided to check whether it was easier to cook outside in the weather.
His plate of spaghetti noodles froze before he could put the fork in his mouth.
When he tried to fry eggs, the egg yolks hardened in mid-air before reaching the pan surface.
"The temperature is increasing, the level of -70 degrees C gives a warm feeling after the winter months , " Dr. Verseux said.
"We decided to take pictures so that people could feel the cold in an interesting way before going into the summer. The temperature here is so low that just giving the data is not so easy to imagine , " said Dr. Verseux. to speak.
