The intruder hides behind a trash can when listening to the footsteps of a guard. As the footsteps grew smaller, the object continued to move on four wheels.

This may happen in the future, when new spy robots from Lockheed Martin Corporation in the United States officially entered the world of spy devices. Lockheed Martin says they will build robots capable of performing surveillance missions without being detected by humans. The prototype of the robot has been tested since late last year, the Newscientist reported.

The special feature of the new generation of reconnaissance robots is the ability to model computer models of the surrounding environment, combining information to determine the safest path. It is equipped with a laser scanner to be able to map 3D surroundings, some sound sensors to detect the footsteps near it.

'This robot is designed to run fast in the dark, avoiding the illuminated areas. To increase the ability to hide in the dark, it is painted in black, 'said Brian Satterfield, team leader in robotics.

Satterfield says, if the spy robot believes it can be detected by a guard, it will try to run to a location where it can hide through a special software. This software allows it to set many action plans when detecting humans. Of course, the software will only provide specific instructions for each task, such as " If you hear suspicious noise, run into the darkest part of the building ."
