The village has 100 people living in caves, separate from the outside world

Although living in a cave, the village has a basketball court for children to play.

The village called Middle East is located in Guizhou Province (China), located at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level, located deep in a large natural cave. In order to get to the base, it took more than an hour to climb the mountain, because of this distance, the community of people living here had a lot of difficulties.

In 2011, the Chinese government closed schools here because they said: "China is not a society of prehistoric people."

Now children have to walk 2 hours every morning and evening to go to another school.

In order to improve the spiritual life for the villagers, the elders tried to persuade the local government to build them a pathway to connect with existing infrastructure. Although the Middle East village now has a television connection and has periodic newspapers, there is still a big gap between the villagers and the outside world.
