There is a handheld device to quickly detect infectious disease virus
Scientists at the Singapore Institute of Biotechnology and Nanotechnology (IBN) have successfully created a hand-held kit for rapid detection of infectious diseases within two hours.
This device can detect common infectious viruses, including H1N1 and severe acute respiratory syndrome, from swabs, blood and saliva for short periods of time.

With its compact size (17cm x 14cm), this automatic virus detector saves clinical samples such as blood or tissue ... to the print cartridges and analyzes them. When the analysis is complete, it will be connected to devices running Android, such as a mobile phone or tablet.
An app included with your phone or tablet will indicate whether or not the virus is present in the sample.
IBN chief executive Jackie Ying, one of the scientists developing the device, said all the virus detection processes are currently taking place in laboratories where it can take anywhere from 8 to 48 hours. to complete the analysis.
Thus, successful research of rapid virus detection kit with easy to use operation will help doctors quickly and accurately detect diseases in the early stages, from which effective treatment regimen. , contributing to the challenge of the current mass infectious disease outbreak.
