There may be many planets like Earth
According to US researchers, the number of planets that resemble Earth with deep oceans covered and can have life is probably more than we think, with about one-third of the planets of the Faces Heaven is discovered outside our Solar System.
According to researcher Sean Raymond of the University of Colorado, these giant planets - known as ' hot Jupiter ' - have an orbit even closer to Mercury and our Sun. These nearby orbiting planets can help form smaller, planet-like planets.
'Hot Jupiter' is a planet with orbits very close to the star of the 'mother' planet .
'We think there are a wide range of planets with oceans that are able to live in solar systems outside of us,' Raymond said.
Research team from Colorado University, Penn State University. and NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center used computers to simulate the different types of solar system formation. They discovered these giant gas planets could help form Earth-like, smaller and stiffer planets and have orbits close to the Sun, thereby thawing and supplying water, the source of live, for young planets.
'I think there must be definitely planets that can live outside our planet. But life on these planets may be very different from ours, ' Raymond said.
