The female pilot from Montreal city in Canada to Heathrow airport said the bright object flew parallel to the left of the plane, then "quickly turned north". She wondered what the object was, even if it didn't hit the plane.

Another pilot from Virgin Atlantic Airlines VS76 flight from Orlando to Manchester also reported an unidentified flying object. According to this person, it seems that there are many very bright objects on the same flight. He thought that it could be a meteor or cosmic trash falling back into the Earth's atmosphere.

The third pilot said there were "two light streaks" gliding to the right of the plane and accelerating to fly away. He estimated its speed to be equal to Mach 2, twice the speed of sound.

The planes are flying at high altitudes from 8,686m to 12,800m. Shannon airport spokesman said the time was not appropriate for the airport to comment while an IAA investigation was taking place.
