Turn dew into water

Two Israeli architects have designed a simple device capable of catching dew droplets in the air and processing it into clean water. A useful device to provide clean water to everyone, especially in a dry place.

The two architects are pursuing a Master's degree at the Techni-Israel Institute of Technology (Technion-Israel Institute of Technology).

The device was named WatAir, designed and fabricated by two former students, Joseph Cory and Eyal Malka, specialized in architecture and construction. It can extract at least 48 liters of clean water from the air every day, with an area of about 29.2 m2 .

This device is a composite mesh that can collect dew droplets in the air and convert into clean water in most climatic conditions. Depending on the amount used by this device, one can obtain an abundant source of water, even in remote areas and polluted places.

The use of this equipment is very easy in both rural and urban areas, thanks to its compact size, as well as vertical and diagonal frame design to utilize gravity to increase the area of accumulation. country.

The flexible assembly panels are where water accumulation of this device is also very easy to cancel when not in use anymore, and they are also a place to shelter rain and sun, creating shade for children to play. Thanks to these features, it is one of the most easily accessible devices in impoverished areas where large, expensive equipment is out of reach for people.
