US media posts video of missile hitting 'flying saucer' causing stir
A video of a US military missile attack that hit but failed to shoot down UFOs recently appeared on the US Reddit forum, sparking heated discussions.
According to the description, a group of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) were detected and hit by missiles in the sky above a US military base in Afghanistan, but they escaped unharmed, shocking many netizens.

The Daily Mail reported that Reddit's UFO discussion thread "The UFO subreddit" allows people to discuss experiences and investigative news about UFO sightings.
On November 15, a netizen uploaded a 10-minute video. At the beginning, the camera focuses on a flat area outside a US military base. After zooming in on the mountains in the distance, viewers can see four small black dots hanging in mid-air.
Moments later, the camera caught a closer look at the mysterious spherical objects , which appeared to have some kind of fuel dripping from the bottom. Then, a short-range missile shot in from the top right corner of the screen, hitting the two floating orbs, seemingly passing through them.
The orbs appear to be unharmed by the attack.
Many viewers of the video initially thought that the strange dots might be training targets or flares. However, as the crew approached the 6-minute mark, the camera switched from FLIR (a camera that uses thermal imaging technology to produce infrared images) to normal viewing and the orbs appeared as glowing, multi-colored dots, features that suggested they were not training targets or flares and that they moved in a fixed spatial distance from each other.
Brilliant pink, orange, purple and yellow lights flicker and shimmer from these spheres, moving slowly and in sync as they float in the air.

Many netizens left messages sharing similar experiences in Afghanistan, even saying that the spheres moved at a very fast speed, like a beam of light.
Another person seemed to agree, replying: ' I saw something like this when I was a kid in the Midwest. It looked like a meteorite shooting backwards as it shot up into the sky, then completely disappeared.'
This is not the first time someone has claimed to have seen a UFO in Afghanistan. A retired senior US Navy commander, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said he and other service members observed a metallic sphere in the sky over Afghanistan in the early 2000s.
He said his observations were very similar to footage shown at a US Senate hearing last year. However, he could not provide further details due to confidentiality agreements and concerns about legal consequences.
