Use robots to explore Egypt's largest pyramid
Egypt is preparing to bring an archaeological robot deep inside the Khufu pyramid near the capital Cairo to serve the survey and research.
According to MENA news agency, Egypt is currently waiting to check the robots of the Singapore - UK - Hong Kong expert group. The test is performed on a specially designed walkway with temporary kilometer columns.
Zahi Hawwas, chairman of Egypt's ancient relics committee, said the robot of the British-Hong Kong expert group has been checked, but part of the robot of the Singapore expert group was broken in the route to Egypt. and awaiting repair.
After the inspection was completed, the team was selected by an Egyptian team to begin the exploration mission scheduled to take place in February 2007 at the pyramid of Khufu.
In September 2002, an archaeological robot of an Egyptian expert team in collaboration with an American University helped uncover the three metal gates of Khufu. By exploring many different clues, archaeologists are trying to discover Khufu's grave - Egypt's reigning pharaoh around 2670 BC.
