Video: Charge your smartphone in just 30 seconds
Many new battery technologies have emerged over the years, but perhaps the most attractive of them is the prototype device called StoreDot from an Israeli startup company. This device can fully charge the Samsung Galaxy S4 within just 30 seconds.
StoreDot is a product of Tel Aviv University's nanotechnology department, designed to charge the Galaxy S4. This device has been demonstrated at Microsoft Think Next conference, you can also see it works in the video below.
It takes about 30 seconds to charge the battery almost 100%, this is done using semiconductor technology based on the company's bio-amino acid. It is expected that this device will be put into production in 2016, estimated its price will be twice the price of a regular smartphone charger.
Currently, the prototype device is about the same size as a laptop charger, but when it comes to market it is more compact.
