Video: Harmful to the environment of solar cells
The production of solar cells produces NF3 greenhouse gases that can cause climate change.
Solar battery.
Greenhouse gas emissions in the United States are 82% of carbon dioxide (CO 2 ). Nitrogen trifluotride or NF3 only accounts for a small but growing share.
The amount of CO2 increased by only 5.6% between 1990 and 2015, but the amount of NF3 increased more than 1000% in the same period of 25 years.
This increase is associated with the manufacturing industry that uses chemicals to produce: solar cells, semiconductor devices and LCD screens.
