Vietnam for the first time has a book about animals and plants

The Vietnam Institute of Science and Technology (VAST) has just announced a set of Vietnamese lice and flora, providing information on the potential and abundance of our country's biological resources.

After 15 years of implementation, the Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources (VAST) and many other researchers in the country have completed 25 episodes of animal lice and 11 episodes of flora and fauna, each of about 350-400 pages .

This book has been compiled since 1996 with the goal of establishing a basis for planning, developing, rational use of biological resources, and proposing protection measures.

With this book, for the first time, Vietnam has a basic and reliable document on the potential and abundance of our biological resources. The book focuses on the classification of animals and plants, presented according to the family system, species, species and subspecies. Each species is provided with full information about species names and nomenclature of species classification, classification characteristics, biological-ecological characteristics, distribution, use values, research specimens.

International organizations, especially the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) , WWF have appreciated this set of Vietnamese scientists, considering the book as an event in the field. research and evaluation area of ​​biological resources and biodiversity conservation in the region and the world.
