According to scientists, IL-17A is a natural chemical that helps the body fight infections, but aggravates the symptoms of asthma and reduces the amount of steroids (compounds that are Soluble organic fat derived naturally or synthetic.
Research results indicate that asthma patients have a much higher level of IL-17A than normal people, and patients with steroids resistant to steroids have the highest level of IL-17A.
Subsequent tests showed that vitamin D significantly reduced the amount of IL-17A in cells of all patients.
Malayka Rahman, a researcher and spokesman for the Asthma Institute, said current drugs, despite being quite effective, have not been able to treat all asthma patients. Therefore, it is important to study new remedies.
