Watch the newly discovered green lizard in Ho Chi Minh City
Many people will not be surprised when this common lizard has just been recognized as a new . species.
These are Calotes bachae lizards, a lizard that lives right in the parks in Ho Chi Minh City
It is not until recently that the scientific community knows that they are a new species that people have never recorded.
This irony is because Calotes bachae is mistaken for a lizard
similarly shaped plots, common in Myanmar and Thailand.
The color on the skin of Calotes bachae is very diverse -
from orange, dark blue to light green.
By the breeding season, their colors are even brighter to attract females.
At night, the skin of this lizard species turns brown.
The female (right) lizard is smaller, no color and vibrant colors like the male (left).
In addition to HCMC, Calotes bachae lizards are also available in Cat National Park
Fairy, dense forests in Bu Gia Map National Park in Binh Thuan province.
