Weapons can burn all electronic devices

For years, the US military has sought to develop new generation weapons and has made impressive progress. Their latest 'toy' is an electromagnetic pulse weapon, with the ability to destroy all electronic devices without causing any other damage.

Electromagnetic pulse weapons , abbreviations EMP , are phenomena that can exist in nature, when a strong electromagnetic pulse can overload and deactivate electrical circuits .

Lightning is one of the natural energy sources that can cause electromagnetic overload phenomena on a small scale, while nuclear weapons are artificial products.

The sudden change in the electromagnetic grids, formed from nuclear explosions, will be able to take down all electronic devices within the range of weapons.

Obtaining only the ability to attack from nuclear weapons, instead of the ability to destroy large-scale, has long been a target of the US military. The country has achieved certain levels of success.

The US EMP weapon can be mounted on small missiles and targets a number of buildings, instead of the whole city as one might expect.

The weapon is now named CHAMP , short for Counter-electronics High-powered Microwave Advanced Missile Project. It will allow the US Air Force to cut energy to certain targets, without affecting the structure of the building, or injuring people in the building.

" Today we turned science fiction into reality, " Keith Coleman, Boeing's CHAMP program director, said after a number of successful experiments.

The US Air Force has recently introduced five CHAMP weapons. According to Major General Tom Masiello, this technology has now been put into operation and is part of the US tactical air force.

With the US acknowledging the existence of CHAMP, it is likely that more of these new 'toys' will be put into the future.

In addition to CHAMP, the US military is on the way to develop many similar energy weapons . Earlier this month, they developed laser weapons, which could be mounted on fighter jets and would one day replace many traditional guns.

Expected to come into operation in 2022, the new project, named Laser Weapon System , succeeded in firing and destroying many unmanned aircraft, in a series of tests.
