Which people are the most emotional?

The Philippines and Singapore can share the same geography, but emotionally, the people of the two countries are so different.

According to a recent Gallup survey, Singapore is a country where people show the least positive or negative emotions, while the Philippines is the country with the highest level of emotion.

In a study of over 150 countries. Gallup has conducted many phone interviews and face-to-face interviews with about 1,000 people aged 15 or later in each country for 3 consecutive years 2009 to 2011. The interviewees will be asked whether they have 10 emotions, including positive emotions (good rest, smiling, feeling respected, enjoying life, enjoying learning or doing something) and feeling negative (anger, depression, sadness, physical pain, anxiety) the previous day.

Gallup found that 36% of Singaporeans experience all these emotions daily. Georgia is the second least emotional country, followed by Lithuania, Russia, Madagascar and Ukraine.

The Philippines, which tops the list with 60% of the population, says they experience 10 emotions on a daily basis. Following the Philippines is El Salvador, Bahrain, Oman, Colombia, Chile and Costa Rica.

People in the Middle East and North Africa are the most pessimistic people, led by Iraq, Palestine, Bahrain. While Latin America is the most optimistic area, led by Panama, Paraguay and Venezuela.

While the most pessimistic countries are those that are experiencing hard times of the economy, violence and revolution.

Gallup researchers said that just raising income is not a good solution. Although Singapore is the country with the lowest unemployment rate and the highest GDP per capita, the people of this country rarely get positive feelings.
