Why do humans not erase mosquitoes?

Mosquitoes are more likely to cause problems and illness for humans than any other creature. People can make this animal disappear forever, but why don't we do it?

Even people who love nature are hard to have sympathy for specialized animals that suck blood and spread diseases like mosquitoes. Currently, mosquitoes are also the cause of Zika virus outbreak in Central and South America. The epidemic has spread to a number of countries and territories in Europe, Asia and at risk of global outbreaks.

As the scientists announced, Zika virus is transmitted by the common Aedes aegypti mosquitoes in the tropics, the medium that transmits yellow fever and dengue fever.

Around the world there are about 3,500 species of mosquitoes - a modest figure among insects, but the impact of mosquitoes on human health and money is extremely large.

Anopheles mosquitoes are responsible for 500 million cases of malaria each year. Meanwhile, the Asian tiger mosquito Aedes albopictus is the vector of the spread of dengue fever and the transmission of chikungunya virus causing high fever and arthritis in humans.

Mosquito larvae exist in dark, dark areas, and in suitable conditions they proliferate rapidly and cause harm to humans.

The question here is: If people can eradicate mosquitoes, why don't we do it?

Opinions supporting the existence of mosquitoes are divided into two main groups. The first group thinks that mosquitoes are an important link in some food nets.

In a few short weeks in the summer in the Arctic tundra, mosquitoes grow in huge numbers, forming a source of food for migratory birds to the north.

Mosquitoes are also the food of some aquatic animals or in tropical forests. However, these species cannot influence humans to protect mosquitoes.

The second opinion supported that mosquitoes play a role in the ecosystem as participating in pollination for flowers. Even so, mosquitoes are not really suitable for this role, and there are dozens of other animals that can replace them.

Thus, there is practically no reason to protect mosquitoes. Removing them will make people less likely to be sick.

However.

The mosquitoes disappear, the hot, nutritious blood source of the children does not attract anyone. And then, the flies, ticks, and fleas out there will be ready to take their place with their mosquito friends.

So, people need to think carefully about whether it is really necessary to erase mosquitoes.
