Why easy deranged genius?
There is a very delicate boundary between those who have outstanding creativity and mental illness, because they all have a gene that causes neurosis and depression.
Explain the causes of natural disasters that are easily distracted
Stories of geniuses such as Vincent van Gogh, Frida Kahlo or famous writers Virginia Woolf and Edgar Allan Poe suffering from mental illness are not just anecdotes.
In most of his life, Isaac Newton was always in a state where he could immediately collapse into nerves. In 1693, that finally happened: after not sleeping for five consecutive days, Newton sent letters accusing his friends of conspiring against him. He does not print books anymore because ' fear that ignorant people will gather to oppose me'.
Newton, according to many documents, suffered a rather severe nerve . He is smart, but still suffering from nervousness. He is very susceptible to depression, does not trust anyone and is constantly angry.
The strange thing is that his genius can be traced to problems in the brain. He has an ability to concentrate and reflect on very special mathematical and physics issues.'I always keep my topics in my brain ,' he says. 'And wait until a dawn comes to open them, little by little, to shine on them the clear and shining light'.
Scientists from Semmelweis University (Hungary) recruited a group of volunteers. These people claim that they have creative minds and profound wisdom. To assess their level of creativity, the team asked them to answer a series of unusual questions. For example: " Suppose the clouds are attached to ropes and the ropes fall to the ground. What will happen? ".
The level of creativity is assessed on a scale based on the flexibility of their answers.
Volunteers must also list achievements related to their creativity in life. The team then took their blood samples for analysis.
" We found that volunteers who own a gene called neuregulin 1 are more capable of finding new things and also have more creative achievements than others, " the team stated in a post. written in the journal Psychological Science.

Neuregulin 1 is a gene that plays an important role in brain development, but a variant of it can cause neurological disorders such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.
" People with mental disorders possess the variant of gene neuregulin 1. But if this gene appears in the body of a healthy person and is not mutated, it will increase their creativity ", Dr. Szabolcs Kéri, the leader of the research team, confirmed.
Kéri and colleagues believe their findings can help people explain why geniuses like Vincent van Gogh or Sylvia Plath exhibit eccentric and destructive behaviors. According to many documents, the artist Vincent van Gogh cut his ears due to the mental crisis.
