Why rock rabbits who like to live near?
Scientists at the University of Haifa discovered the phenomenon of rocky hare (Hyrax) that likes to make burrows near residential areas because of bricks and stones created by humans.
The Hyrax of Israel, also known as the rock rabbit, often makes caves in the rocky areas, which look like rodents, but belong to the group of mammals such as elephants and cows .
Currently, they no longer make caves in the rocky mountains but are moving into Galilee residential areas, destroying crops, eating whatever they find and also transmitting skin diseases to their children. people. Stone rabbits are raising concerns for people.

To explain this phenomenon, the researchers observed and attached the rabbit rabbit's tracking device.
The results showed that the rubble of bricks and stones with loopholes attracted the stone rabbits to make the cave. The stone rabbit loves to lie under the sun near the cave entrance. These ruins create ideal conditions for them.
"We insist that these rubble themselves attracted rock rabbits, not people's gardens ," said Arik Kershenbaum, the research leader.
Research shows that there is no need to destroy rocky rabbits, just fill the caves, gaps in the pile of stones, ruined bricks, they will automatically return to the cave.
