Create a 'goose bump' to breed monkeys

For the first time, scientists created monkeys from cells of many separate embryos.

But the monkey was born after researchers combined many cells of different embryos and transplanted them into female monkeys.

Healthy and normal born brown monkeys carry the combined genes of six completely different monkeys. They are called "chimera" .

The research team believes that this achievement will contribute significantly to the field of research. Chimera can serve to understand the role of individual genes in fetal development, as well as general developmental body research.

However, TS. Shoukhrat Mitalipov of the Oregon University of Health and Sciences (USA), co-author of the study, stressed that this success does not serve to create a hybrid.

But gene therapy promises to serve as a replacement for damaged nerve cells for people who are paralyzed by vertebral trauma or people with Parkinson's disease.
