10 breathtaking spectacle of the sky
Light, atmosphere, water and things . created spectacular scenes in the sky, the more scenes that glorified the wonderful life on Earth.
1. Crystal construction
A ski resort in Austria took this picture. The crystals operate light-bending prisms more than 22 degrees. So the ring you see is called the aura of 22 degrees.
2. Flying boat
Illusion does not only happen in the desert. The light is bent whenever it passes through the air but when the air temperature has a big difference in a small distance, it will create intense density vibrations, which can refract light many times. and an illusion was born.
This photo is called an illusion because it makes the boat look taller than it actually is. And the above illusion always includes a part of the image that is reversed as you see in the picture.
3. The eye of the Dark Lord?
Thanks to the chimney that obscures the glare of the sun, one can see a halo of 22 degrees of blur in the sky of Finland. Aura happens all the time and is more popular than a rainbow, but you have to hide the bright sun to see this phenomenon.
4. Two twilight days
Light refraction often causes the sun to appear flatter and oval in the horizon line when the sun goes down. The sunset picture on the Pacific Ocean taken by the Southern European Observatory in Chile clearly shows this visual effect.
Refraction flattens the upper part of the sun but its light is brighter because of the shorter distance through the atmosphere. The second sun below is called the illusion below. This is the most common type of illusion and we often see when traveling on highways on hot sunny days.
5. Red aurora
Smaller particles than atoms continuously emit from the sun that we call the solar wind. Fortunately for us, the Earth's magnetic stratum has diverted most of these particles.
But at the polar regions of the Earth, some of these particles enter the atmosphere and create streaks of light that we call aurora.
The aurora emits colorful light visible but only a few colors stand out with blue being the main color. High oxygen oxidation in the Alaskan sky allows rare red aurora to appear.
6. Lightning desert
Negative electricity accumulates in the lower part of the clouds, positive electricity accumulates on the ground. When the voltage exceeds the insulation capacity of the air, there will be lightning strikes. This long lightning strikes across the sky of Arizona near Silverbell Mountain.
7. Aura
The solar aura is most visible at the solar eclipse. The aura in the picture occurs when the sun shines through small droplets and is divided into different bands.
8. The iridescent spider web
Rainbows can form when light shines through droplets of air. But if the sun shines at a low angle, the rainbow also appears when drops of water cling to a certain surface like dewdrops on the spider web. Grass, heather and other small plants are also good surfaces to form a rainbow called dewbows.
9. Light on the top of the mountain
Occasionally, the top of the mountain emits pink light as shown in the image above, even when the sun is out of the horizon, but the most common is still the sun falling in the horizon at sunset.
This phenomenon is called pink light on the alpenglow and it occurs because the sun reflects from the ice molecules, water or snow in the lower atmosphere.
10. Flat rainbow (circumhorizontal arc)
A flat rainbow is a rare occurrence, it can form only the sun above 58 degrees above the sky and shine through crystal ice.
