10 new species of organisms discovered in 2007

International Institute for Species Exploration at Arizona State University in collaboration with the International Classification Committee of Science published a list of 10 new species discovered in 2007.

1. The Electrolux addisoni stingray

2. 75 million year old duckbill species Gryposaurus monumentensis

3. Pink polypine Desmoxytes purpurosea

4. Rare frog species Philautus maia

5. One of the world's most unique snake species Oxyuranus temporalis

6. Fruit-eating bat Styloctenium mindorensis

7. Xerocomus silwoodensis fungus

8. Dangerous jellyfish Malo kingi

9. "Dim" - Species of rhino beetle Megaceras briansaltini

10. Tecticornia bibenda - Michelin Man-like plants
