1,200 eBay accounts fall into the hands of hackers
On September 26, 1,200 customer accounts using eBay included personal information and bank account credit card numbers that were widely published by hackers on an eBay forum page. Anyone can access this information.
Online auction service provider eBay has also officially acknowledged the information of 1,200 accounts posted on Trust & Safety forums completely. The company predicts that this information may be the result of an attack to hijack hackers' large accounts.
Besides, eBay also tried to reassure customers by conducting checks and declaring that the credit card's personal account information is false. ' The above credit card information does not have any connection to the account information of those users stored on eBay or on PayPal '.
eBay is currently working with the parties to investigate the root cause of the problem and thoroughly overcome the problem.
The Trust & Safety forum has now been lowered. But a lot of users have filmed a video of that information and posted it on YouTube. Perhaps the goal of this video is mainly to indicate the time of the attack. All relevant personal information is blurred.
