Burial of the dead in mysticism is a common practice in southern China. The ancient people believed that hanging a coffin high would protect the body from evil beasts, and bless the deceased soul of eternal life.

These hanging coffins have long been regarded as an important cultural heritage in China, containing many secrets. How can the old people hang a heavy coffin, and many scapegoats on the cliff cliff still a big question.

Many coffins were destroyed by the villagers in the 60-70s to collect wood for firewood. According to Yu Bo, the head of the bureaucracy of the Quy Quy district cultural district, the district has put the mystical cluster on the list of heritage preservation, and is restoring them.
