15 astronomical events

Blood moon, total eclipse, annular eclipse . are extremely astronomical phenomena expected next year.

According to Seasky page, there are many wonderful astronomical events in 2015, such as the big meteor shower, the full moon, the blood moon .

Let's review the list and "note" the amazing astronomical phenomena that will happen next year.

1. January 3, 4 - Quadrantids meteor shower

On the night of January 3, dawn January 4, the Quadrantids meteor shower will take place, with a maximum density of 30 to 40 meteors every hour in ideal weather conditions.

Because it takes place around the beginning of the lunar month, observers in weather areas allow for more opportunities to monitor this phenomenon. The most ideal time to observe is the morning of January 3 with the direction of the eastern sky where the Bootes constellation is located. However, unfortunately, this year the Full Moon will obscure the brightest shooting stars.

2. February 6 - Jupiter reaches its position directly with the Sun compared to Earth

At this time, the giant planet Jupiter will be in the closest position to the Earth and its surface will be completely illuminated by the Sun. This is the best time for astronomers to observe and photograph Jupiter.

A medium-sized telescope is enough for you to see small details on the clouds of this planet. This phenomenon will take place on February 6.

3. February 22 - Meeting between Venus and Mars

Picture 3 of 15 astronomical events

On February 22, an extremely rare event happens when the two planets Venus and Mars will get close together at night. Along with that, these two planets will emit two light streams that make us only see half of each side.

4. Date 20/3 - Full Moon

This is one of the most remarkable phenomena in 2015. The total eclipse occurs when the Moon completely obscures the Sun, while the halo of the temple is still emitting, creating a very beautiful sight.

This phenomenon began in the mid-Atlantic region and then gradually moved through Greenland to northern Siberia. You should not miss the phenomenal total eclipse that takes place on March 20.

5. Day 4/4 - The moon is blood

On April 4, Earth's darkness will begin to completely cover the Moon. At this time, the Moon will no longer have the usual yellow color but instead is red - something many people call it the "Blood Moon" phenomenon .

Residents of North America, South America, East Asia and Australia will see the most remarkable astronomical phenomenon this year.

6. April 22, 23 - Lyrids meteor shower

Picture 6 of 15 astronomical events

This is a small meteor shower with only about 20 meteors per hour even in relatively ideal conditions. The phenomenon takes place on April 22, 23 and coincides with the period of the half-moon moon at the end of the month, so the moonlight will cause minor obstacles to the observers.

7. 5, 6/5 - Eta Aquarids meteor shower

This medium-sized meteor shower could allow observers to see more than 60 meteors per hour under conditions allowed.

Picture 7 of 15 astronomical events

The Eta Aquarids meteor was born from the small remaining dust of a Halley Comet - discovered since ancient times. Eta Aquarids meteor shower usually lasts from April 19 to May 26 and peaks on the night of the 5th, dawn on May 6.

Located near the beginning of the lunar month, if the weather does not change particularly, you can completely observe this phenomenon quite easily.

8. July 28, 29 - Delta Aquarids meteor shower

Picture 8 of 15 astronomical events

This small meteor shower with a density of more than 20 tracks / hour will take place on July 28 and 29. Delta Aquarids are born from small dust left over after two Comets are named Marsden and Kracht.

Because it happened in late July, the sky was cloudless and the moon was not hindered, so this meteor shower promises to give you many opportunities to observe.

9. August 12, 13 - Meteor shower Perseids

Picture 9 of 15 astronomical events

One of the two largest meteor showers in these five Perseids will reach its peak on August 12, 13, with a density usually reaching more than 60 meteors per hour. This meteor battle was born from the small remaining dust after two comets named Swift-Tuttle.

If the sky is not cloudy, this will still be a very interesting astronomical phenomenon in the year.

10. On 1/9 - Neptune is in direct position with the Sun compared to Earth

Picture 10 of 15 astronomical events

This is the position where this planet comes closest to the earth in its orbit. Even so, the distance is too far so only those who are equipped with extremely good telescopes can see this planet as a green dot in the lens. The event will take place on September 1.

11. September 13 - An eclipse of the Japanese people

Picture 11 of 15 astronomical events

This phenomenon occurs when the Moon only obscures part of the Sun. Part of the Sun's light still emits, making the light of these two planets contrast. According to experts, the best observation position is in South Africa and Madagascar.

12. September 28 - Full Moon

Picture 12 of 15 astronomical events

The total lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon completely obscures the Sun while the halo of the temple is still emitting, creating a very beautiful sight. This phenomenon starts from North and South America, Europe, South Africa and East Asia.

13. October 21, 22 - Meteor shower Orionids

Picture 13 of 15 astronomical events

This is a medium-sized meteor shower with a density of about 30 meteors per hour. This phenomenon will take place at a time when there is no moon so if it is less cloudy, this will be an ideal year to observe this meteor shower. Orionids meteor shower peaks and October 21, 22.

14. October 28 - Jupiter, Venus, Mars meet

Picture 14 of 15 astronomical events

This is one of the extremely rare phenomena when two or more objects get close together at night. These three planets will form a triangle. You can see these planets through telescopes if you look east when the Sun rises.

15. December 13, 14 - Meteor shower Geminids

Picture 15 of 15 astronomical events

Geminids meteor shower is one of the two largest meteor showers of the year (along with Perseids). This meteor shower is centered on the Gemini constellation with a density of up to 120 meteors per hour.

The most ideal time to observe is dawn on December 14.In Vietnam we can also observe this phenomenon.
