2012: China takes female astronauts into space

The first Chinese female traveler could fly into space in late 2012, a senior official in charge of China's manned spacecraft program revealed on Friday (April 29).

In the Chinadaily newspaper, in preparation for the mission to launch manned spacecraft to space next year, China's manned spacecraft development agency is training two women and five male astronauts.
