2032: Russia will establish a permanent base on the Moon
The Russian Federal Space Agency Roskosmos has just identified a plan to conquer the Moon and said it will carry out the first manned flight in 2025.
Roskosmos affirmed that from 2027 to 2032, a permanent base will be set up on the lunar surface and ensure the operation of this base. Roskosmos director Anatoli Permilov also said that by 2035 Russian travelers will fly manned flights to Mars.
However, to carry out these manned flights, Russia will face some challenges. Current Russian spacecraft cannot protect the Russian tour group against the type of radiation. Other important issues such as the psychological state of astronauts who must live together for two or three years, or food issues need to be studied.
Russia hopes to own a new manned spacecraft by 2015.
