3D printing technology from resin
Shadeways products are made from a special material, dedicated to printing 3D models.
As 3D printing technology becomes more popular, companies are racing to produce unique products, both in form and in materials. And the Shadeways are no exception. The company is very confident with its range of products manufactured using a new material called elasto plastic.
Although the plastic resin only to a certain extent but still maintain the shape of the product after being stretched or compressed. Shadeways says the resin is not widely used, but it is very convenient for individuals to design 3D models themselves.
The elastic material receives a lot of support due to its durability, flexibility and high compressive strength, which are resistant to impact. Although not completely inert with water but compensated with special surface texture should be able to withstand large friction.
Shapeways tested the new material on a nylon embroidery machine in a US factory, and it took about eight days for the new printing process to be completed and ready to ship the product overseas. Shadeways supporters hope the company can take this material further, bringing something new and exciting.
Shadeways is proud to announce that it will help 3D technology enthusiasts create their own unique, stylish products. In addition, Shadeways has built a system to purchase 3D products, as a bridge between the manufacturers and buyers. That way, anyone can set up a 'property' for a product from their passion.
