4 teams of CD tables were identified in the 1/16 round

On the evening of May 13, the Thua Thien Hue Gymnasium (Hue City) nearly blew up by the heat in the framework of 12 matches in two CD tables with the encouragement of more than 5000 students from universities in the country.

On the 2nd day of competition in the framework of Group C, the Robocon SPK-KNIGHT team of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education had convincing victories in a very short time: 35 seconds. This is also the team with the shortest performance in the 2009 Robocon competition.

Ranked No. 2 in Group C is the CDTHY team of Hung Yen University of Technical Education with a record of absolute victory in the period of 60-70 seconds. This is also the team with good performance.

The speed of competition and the stability of the robots is always something that teams need to pay attention to.

On the second day of competition, Hung Yen University of Technical Education had two representatives entering the round of 16th, bringing the total number of teams to the 1/16 round of the school to 3 teams.

Similarly, in Table D, the Air Force Robocon team of the Air Defense Academy is in the top position with a fairly stable performance record, always winning absolute in the period of 40-60 seconds.

The last team reached the 1/16 round of the second day of competition, SUN WARD of Hung Yen University of Technical Education.

According to the judgment of a BTC member, the 2nd day of the Robocon finals proved that the teams that maintain the stability of the robots easily entered the round. Thereby, it is possible to see the teams that are able to win absolutely in the time range of 30-35 seconds.

Even many teams from Lac Hong University such as BEE *, STORM when trying to play the field also won with a time of over 30 seconds. However, these teams did not reach the round of 16.

This member also said that the reason for this situation is that this year there was a conflict between the speed of competition and the stability of the robot design and the day of competition yesterday proved that the team kept The stability of the robot is all won.

Dr. Nguyen Tang Cuong - a member of BGK - said that the speed of winning in 35 seconds at the second day of competition is quite high. However, to move towards the international Robocon championship, teams need to shorten the time to 25 seconds.

According to TS.Cuong, one of the solutions that can shorten the time is that the teams must have the robot design by hand to carry the palanquin automatically. That is, robots are programmed to run a predetermined distance and the manual operator of the robot only needs to press the start or stop button without having to directly control the robot.

TS.Cuong stated that in order to achieve high performance in the competition, Robocon teams of Japan or China will definitely use similar solutions. Therefore, Vietnamese teams need to anticipate these factors.

Today, 14/5, matches in the EF table will be reported live on VTV2 from 17h-18h30.
