The hundred-year "treasure" is buried deep in Antarctic ice.
According to Express, Ernest Shackleton is a British polar explorer who has led the team to the Antarctic trip three times. From 1907 to 1909, Mr. Shackleton and his three companions completed the Nimrod expedition, setting a new record of the distance traveled from Antarctica. In 1921, after returning from his last expedition, Mr. Shackleton died of a heart attack and brought many secrets to his grave.
In a short series called Bright Side's "Exotic Items Discovered in Antarctica" , researchers revealed to the public about a " treasure" they dug beneath the region's icy soil. One of these secrets involves the explorer Shackleton . Accordingly, Shackleton is said to have buried two bottles of wine in the Antarctic ice sheet and in 2010, this "treasure" was finally discovered after 100 years.

"Two bottles of delicious Scotch whiskey have been hidden in ice in Antarctica for over 100 years," the host revealed.
After discovering this "unexpected treasure" , researchers did not dig for alcohol immediately because they were afraid of damaging them. To get the two bottles of precious wine right, researchers have to wait for several years to bring all the necessary tools to the area. Then, two bottles of whiskey bottled in 1898 were thawed for nearly two weeks.
