Admire the natural photos won the World Press Photo Award 2016

World Press Photo Contest 2016 (World Press Photo 2016) brings together 82,951 photos of 5,775 photographers, bringing new and impressive views of nature.

The set of pictures of the ivory war won the second prize in the natural photo reportage category. In the photo, Michael Oryem, 29, is clutching two ivory on November 17, 2014. Oryem was kidnapped by the LRA at 9 years old. Since then, he has lived with this notorious rebel group and engaged in illegal hunting and trade in ivory.
After escaping from the LRA, Oryem became the warrior of the Uganda Militia Defense Force (UPDF) fighting against the LRA.Oryem accused the LRA of killing many elephants for tusks in Garamba National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo under Joseph Kony's orders, the LRA leader, and transporting ivory to their military operations headquarters in South Sudan.(Photo: Brent Stirton).
