America discovered the largest oil field worth 900 billion USD

The US Geological Survey found new oil reserves of 20 billion barrels of oil, worth about $ 900 billion in Texas, USA.

The US Geological Survey (USGS) on November 15 announced the discovery of the largest ever unexploited oil field in the country at the Midland Basin Wolfcamp shale , in the Permian basin in Texas. , according to the Guardian.

The new oil field is estimated to contain about 20 billion barrels of oil, 450 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 1.6 billion barrels of liquid natural gas. This is the largest oil reserve ever discovered by USGS with a value of about 900 billion USD.

"This proves that there is a lot of potential even in the region that has exploited billions of barrels of oil," said Walter Guidroz, USGS energy project coordinator.

The Midland Basin Wolfcamp area has a total of more than 3,000 oil wells. Due to the geological characteristics of the region, many companies have to use hydraulic engineering to cut down to exploit oil and gas from shale layers that can be up to 2km thick.

"Changes in technology and industrial activities have a great impact on finding resources. That's why we continue to survey resources throughout the United States and the world , " Guidroz said.
