Iran discovered a large reserve of natural gas

Mehr official news agency of Iran on April 29 reported that the country has discovered a new natural gas field in the southwestern province of Khuzestan , with estimated reserves equivalent to Nam Pars gas field in Persic Bay. .

According to Mohaddes, people drilled a 5,000m deep well to learn more about the conditions of the mine and the natural gas reserves in it.

The information was confirmed by Iranian Oil Ministry. South Pars mine, also known as North Dome mine, is the largest natural gas field in the world, located between Iran and Qatar.

According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), the mine has an estimated reserve of 51,000 billion cubic meters of gas in place and about 7.9 billion cubic meters of condensate gas. The mine stretches over an area of ​​9,700 km 2 , of which 3,700 km 2 belongs to Iranian territory called Nam Pars, and 6,000 km 2 belongs to Qatar territory, called North Dome.
