Digging ancient gold rings worth tens of thousands of dollars in the field

An English truck driver who has dug 20 carats can cost up to 13,500 USD (about 310 million VND) in a field.

The Daily Mail (UK) quoted driver Adam Day (30) as saying he was shaking when he discovered the ring in a field in Yorkshire.

Driver Adam Day, who is also an amateur "treasure hunter" , judged: ' The ring is not buried deep underground but rather close to the surface. On the ring is the inscription of St. George and Catherine and the ornament of flowers. The Beverley Minster church is nearby so it is likely that the ring belongs to a monk there. The ring originated between 1450 and 1550 '.

Daily Mail reported that the ring is expected to sell at $ 13,500 at an auction held in Derbyshire on January 24. The farmer who owns the land where the ring is found will receive half of the auction amount.

An expert who judged the ring is a testament to quality manufacturing technology at the time, and only characters like nobles and bishops can own it.

In the summer of 2017, an early brooch from the 15th century, also bearing flower decorations similar to the above 20-carat gold ring, was auctioned at $ 28,000. Jewelry from the Middle Ages is often sold at high prices because it is rare, good quality and has many historical values.
